"I really can’t say enough good things about Aaron Perez. I took my first lesson with Aaron my sophomore year of high school and immediately improved my punting ability. That first experience eight years ago has led me to continue to work with Aaron to this point in my career. Not only has he helped me improve my punting ability by leaps and bounds, but I’ve had the privilege of seeing him help so many young punters improve their games as well. His knowledge of punting is second to none, as is his commitment to the players that he coaches. Rather than putting his clients in a cookie cutter system and saying, “This is the right way to do it, and that’s it.” , he observes every client individually and figures out how to make them a better version of themselves. "We met Aaron at my son, Nathan’s, first Chris Sailer Camp in Chicago in 2016 (we live in northern MN). Nathan had just started punting that season as a Sophomore in High School. Aaron taught Nathan so much at that first camp, that we sought him out for private lessons. He happened to be living in Minnesota at the time, so it worked out that we could meet with him. This meant driving 5+ hours each way for 2 lessons at a time, but it was so worth every second! We were able to meet with Aaron a few times, and those private lessons were the best instruction we could have ever hoped for. There is just something special about Aaron- he was meant to teach. He knows exactly how to communicate with each of his punters, and his level of knowledge about the sport is unmatched. He treats all of his punters (and their parents!) like family. We reached out to Aaron many times during the recruiting process, and he was always there to answer any questions and to walk us through everything. "I first met Coach Perez at a Vegas camp a few years back. I was another punter just trying to get noticed as a Junior in High School. My next encounter with Coach Perez was at the Top Gun showcase. I ended up doing well and got a spot in the U.S. Army All American game. I wanted to become more precise with my punting, so I contacted Coach Perez hoping I could get some advice. Before I knew it, I was on the phone with him asking various questions on things to improve on and how to be at my best. I would text him a question and within an hour he would reply. Coach Perez is always available and always so excited to talk about punting, and do whatever he can to help someone pursuing punting. I believe that I was a good punter, but with the attention to detail Perez has, I’ve been able to optimally perform at my highest level. Even in college I still talk to Perez about punting and how to tweek implications I have. His coaching on fundamentals and technique are very concise and easy to understand. "I have had a long history with Coach Perez. We first met my junior year of high school at a Vegas camp, we reconnected after I returned from a two year church mission to Brazil, and I told him of my goal to be a D1 punter, as I was a 5 star recruit when I had left. We got some personal camps in California, and then I was ready to walk on to Northern Arizona University, and I had the opportunity to beat out the scholar shipped starter, and earn a scholarship for myself. This will be my last year at NAU, and then I have a grad year that I can hopefully use. But I had phenomenal year last year, ending number 5 in the FCS and I hope to build on that. This is all thanks to Coach taking a chance with me, and tweaking some much needed bad habits, that allowed me to be where I am today with the opportunities that I have.
